Does Sanctum really work without the internet?
Yes. The AI, voice recognition and device control all run on the hub over your home Wi-Fi. You can disconnect your router from the internet and Sanctum keeps working.
Is it as smart as a cloud assistant?
For running your home and everyday conversation, yes. It won't search the web or read live news, because that would require going online — and that's a line we don't cross.
Which devices does it control?
Devices that can be controlled locally over Wi-Fi on your home network. We'll publish a full compatibility list before shipping.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and nothing to log in to. Sanctum is set up on-device.
How do updates work?
Updates are optional and installed by you, offline, from a file you choose to load. Nothing updates itself in the background.
Can the microphones be turned off?
Every room node has a physical mute switch that disconnects the microphones at the hardware level.
